Beautifully landscaped, this garden is quiet and calming. Waterfalls and gently flowing streams feed the koi swimming around.

This garden is below the castle walls. It was built in 1634 by the lord for his wife. The garden is beautiful, and is having reconstruction done to bring it back to its former glory, and to increase its size. Back to the original size....More

This was lovely. So tranquil and peaceful. There was only us and two others when we visited. Highly recommended. Lots to see and a great chance to relax. Best garden in Kanazawa.

Well worth a visit. A lovely peaceful place with an amazing garden attached to it. Although small, it had a different feel from the big gardens.

Everybody goes to Kanazawa for the Kenrokuen Garden - which is beautiful - but do not overlook this small garden. It is exquisite, beautifully maintained, and offers a tea ceremony opportunity.
