Matobo National Park is stunning, despite the paucity of game (apart from abundant baboons!). We stayed at Mbila Lidge, which is a National Parks Lodge - built in 2002, at Maleme Dam. Beautiful site, but the Lodge, at USD250/night was dreadful. The layout was unusual...More

Sadly the park has been badly poached out and you’ll be very lucky to see much in the way of wildlife. Elephants have gone but there are supposed to be 20 or so rhinos, but they hide because of the poaching. There’s no proper access...More

Much to our surprise, this was one of our favorite game parks in all of Africa. Very cool, and they protect the rhinos here. We highly recommend making a this a stop on a trip to Zimbabwe! WORTH IT!

Very peaceful setting and beautiful rolling hills. Didn't see any animals and the cost is high for foreigners but it was good to see actual history and Cecil John Rhodes resting place
