This is a classy operation with hands-on involvement from the owners! Recommended in the strongest possible terms! Yes they run the famous African Queen and African Princess cruises on gorgeous boats but they do more! We did a customized sunset boat ride for four people with an expert guide/skipper and tracker. They listened to and were responsive to what we... More

An interesting and different experience in Africa! The Zambezi Queen is beautiful and rooms are generally good and comfortable with some minor points to be improved upon (e.g. conditions of bathroom and shower). It's clearly an older ship and for sure there are always things to maintain...which is normal. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. There was a cold buffet... More

This was the evening full of magic. Pleasant, well organized sunset river cruise on mighty Zambezi. What can be more enchanting. Just sit, relax and let it all sink it. Create memories of your lifetime. Gorgeous and very pleasant. It is a slow pace activity; so different from white water rafting below the falls. We bought the tickets in our... More

We were lucky to have a trip up the Zambezi river in the captain's cabin! We had our own butler (Mike) who not only served good gin & tonics but was also an encyclopedia of knowledge when it came to wildlife. The captain and Mike told us all we wanted to know as the boat gently cruised up the river.... More

Friendly welcome, snacks and drinks were ok, wildlife a bit scant but the atmosphere was great - a wonderful way to end the day.

I opted for one of the smaller boats that only accommodates around 8 to 10 people. I was here during the rainy season, so there wasn't a spectacular sunset, which is fine, that happens when a storm front moves in. The amount of wildlife viewed from the boat was very sparse. I saw maybe 1 elephant, some birds, hippos and... More

Very nice evening spotting wildlife and enjoying drinks on the river. Servers were very friendly and attentive and the scenery was gorgeous. We even caught a beautiful sunset.

Enjoyed the sunset cruise and met many fun people. This cruise was definitely more about the drinking than the wildlife spotting however

Bartender was very nice but cook was not friendly. The river was cool and refreshing after a long day. I was on The Makumbi boat as part of a package through Bundu. The food was poor in quality and taste. The experience was good, though. Saw hippos displaying territorial boundaries and lots of birds. No elephants or crocs spotted. It... More
