Takes a long time to get there from downtown DaNang by motor bike or taxi. Not very clean beach. It is the Harbor water, not ocean. Surrounding housing of locals very low end poor area.

Okay so Red Beach is a longs ways out of Da Nang on the way to Monkey Mountain and on to Hue City but if you are headed in that direction...just stop and take a photo of Red beach because it was the spot where in 1965 the American Marines first waded onto Vietnamese soil and such began the American... Love at first sight! Never read about beach as a tour attraction at Da Nang. You will definitely enjoy the sun bath and blow of sea breeze here! Enjoy your trip!

This beach is beautiful and clean due to the effective enforcement of the beach authorities . However, the designated area for visitors is quite small (demarcated with floating ropes for safety reason) that make it very crowded from 4-6pm. There are electric cars bringing tourists from hotels along the main road to the beach with the cost of 10,000 vnd/person

As part of the 40 miles of beach between Hue & Hoi An is a somewhere to take a breather or just relax for a bit. Not sure if this is the real location of Red Beach or not though.

The view is fascinating and good for landscape photographers like me! Would recommend landscapers to take the ride and see the place!
