The Hoi An Silk Village, officially opened in August 2012, is based on the ancient silk weaving traditions of Quang Nam province that used Hoi An as a commercial seaport for over 300 years. Located down the street from Hoi An's town center, the Silk Village offers an experience like no other. During the tour you'll learn about the entire production of silk from silkworm to dress. We also have a spacious restaurant serving up local delights and a high-end silk showroom where you can have custom garments designed.

We were really wondering how good this would be. It was well worth the 45 minute tour with an interesting guide. We could see the silk worms, cocoons weaving on the hand looms and more modern. We had a lovely morning in the shaded buildings. Ended with an iced mulberry drink.

We walked to the silk village - it was rather warm, but very walkable as long as you can cope with the sun belting down on you! When we arrived at the tourist resort, I was convinced we were at the wrong place, sat down, made to wait for a guide. I had been expecting an "old village" with factories,... More

We cycled to the Silk Village ourselves and paid 300,000 Dong for a family of five for the onsite guided tour. The tour lasted about an hour, our guide was excellent and explained the whole process of silk making, from the silk worms to the finished article. Our children loved seeing the silk worms and feeding them mulberry leaves. The... More

Just loved this tour. From the moment we got out of the coach.greeted by our tour guide and taken for a cool drink. The village is so pretty and interesting. We were fascinated with the whole process as we were shown each step!we had several chances of first hand experiences creating silk . The tour finished with an enjoyable lunch... More

Lots of tourist visit to see how silk is produced, coach parties everyday. This doesn't impact on the accommodation as they are kept seperate. Rooms are decorated to a very high standard and the beds so comfortable with very luxurious bedding. Lovely retreat from the high temperatures and humidity. Nice outdoor swimming pool . Breakfast included in the daily rates... More

Just amazing - we spent a month at this Hotel and it felt like home away from home and we made fabulous new friends both with the staff and other guests who felt as comfortable as us. Nothing was a problem for the staff - I muddled up a flight booking and Tammy went out of her way to take... More

An absolute highlight from my recent visit to Hoi An was taking a morning to do the silk village tour. As a devotee of silk but not aware of how silk is produced, I was amazed to see how it was done. absolutely fascinating.

Location is good. Rooms are good quality, spacious and clean. The resort also takes precautions to ensure that there are no mossies and other flying bugs to nibble at you, important given the number of water features on site. They spray the resort 2 X per week which is great, especially important if you have kids. The only minor complaint... More
