Interesting small museum

Small museum, but gives you a glimpse of Sharajah before the buildings. It is part of the Heart of Sharjah location.

Worthwhile visit of Museum featuring life in the UAE 100+ years ago. Show how people lived and survived the climate and conditions of the Arabian Gulf.

Heritage Museum of Sharjah has displays that trace UAE’s history, rich culture and traditions. The various themes on display here are: history, landscape, lifestyle, traditional knowledge, livelihood, and oral traditions. It is a small museum and can be covered between half an hour to one hour. The themes are done in detail, the props arranged well, so the tour across... More

A great place to get introduced to the Arab Culture through the items of everyday use, through rituals and customs.

It's a small museum compared with the one we visited earlier in Sharjah on Islamic civilization but it serves as a reminder of the culture and heritage of the inhabitants of this region. There were very few visitors there, so one can browse freely.

The heritage museum is a great place to learn about the history of Sharjah and the way of living in the past. It's is... More

I only have Dubai Museum to compare with and Sharjah Heritage wins hands down. It is very detailed, with lots of artifacts, arranged nicely. But it is very quiet, indicating maybe they can do more to promote it. Perfect glimpse into local history and tradition from the ancient times (ie. before oil).

The museum is dedicated to the distinctive customs of Sharjah. It is a true eye opener to the traditions of the area. Take a look at the Proverbs and see if you can give an answer. How would you know about the treats and Hag Al Layla without stopping to read the panels in the museum? Did you know that... More
