Arriving by wooden-slated train in the station that looks a touch over-emphasised was fine; we wanted to get off. The station itself, however, was uninspiring. Dimly lit, uncomfortable waiting rooms and a sparsely functional inside of a lovely building. Good for a picture or two, but not for hanging around long for a train.

We arrived here from Kolomyya and it was nice place to arrive. The station itself is very pretty. It's located at the bottom of a very steep hill, so I recommend taking a trolley up to the center.

The first place you will see in this remarkable city - Station. Narrow-minded old building, no more, no less

Sorry, not much too see except for the taxi drivers haunting clients. I was surprised that it is so small.

The building itself inner or outer were fancy. You may missed it when you just arrive or if you hurry to leave. The good time should be 5-6pm or 7-8am. When I arrive, crowd of people in or out of station, you will not likely to stay there. FYI, Windows #15 were very good serving. I look lost for train... More

Arriving from Kiev in a thunderstorm the station is a bustle of traders, travellers and those who just seem to hang around stations in Eastern Europe. A place of business and personal meetings. Still retains the romance of travel we seem to have lost in Western Europe. Yes it's a bit dierty and untidy - and keep your hand on... More

Well, if it had a coat of paint it would have got a higher rating. Lovely station deep in the heart of Ukraine and some locals say geographic centre of Europe. I love the hustle and bustle of these provincial European cities and coming off the early night train from Kiev at 7 am doesn't disappoint . Worth a visit!!... More

Will never forget the brief experience on our train experience. They really need to get everything cleaned up at the station.

This was the place from where 35000 Czernowitz jewes and ten of thousands from the neigborhud cities and vilages, where loaded on cattle wagons and rush to Transnistria (between the Bog and Daniester rivers) concentration camps during the German - Romanian occupation in 1941.The building is classical. Richly decorated from inside and outside. Defiantly a "must see" place when you... More
