Th tomb of Shams Tebrezi is not very far from the Mevlana Museum, You can pay your respects here and when we visited it, it was not very crowded.

Located just 10 minutes by walk from Mevlana museum. Sems-i Tabriz was the most impressive person in Mevlana's life. He changed Mevlana's mind about world, love, and poet. Don't miss this attraction in Konya. The entrance is free.

Surprisingly there not as many visitors to here as to Mevlana Rumi, yet this is his Shaykh. The place is looked after by locals and is a humble but an inspiring place. Careful of the organised child beggars around here. Alaeddin Mosque is a short...More

Pay a visit to Shems Tebrizi's tomb, as Rumi would not have been Rumi if it wasn't for Shems. They cannot be thought of separately! Must visit in Konya! Felt very tranquil and peaceful, glad that we went!

This is location of Mevlana Rumi's tomb. There are tombs of other famous dervishes at this location. There is also a museum displaying clothing and artifacts used by dervishes over the centuries.

A small mosque in a small park. The park was nice and the mosque was very simple and small. The tomb was inside the mosque in a corner with a big covering fabric. There is not a evidence that Shems tabrizi has died in Konya...More

On Şems-i Tebrizi 's tomb you can read the word "Nothing"--what he aimed at all his life--letting go off all desire, all possessions, the "me". Definitely worth the visit.

You have to go full circle in Konya: so is Rumi (Mevlana) and his teacher Sems. Is a great little mosque in a quiet little square with a beautiful fountain outside and inside everything is very intimate and you are able to “contemplate” your soul!
