We had just one day in Cappadocia and we had to decide between watching this performance or doing the Turkish Nights. Yenner, our guide for the Underground City convinced us to go to the Saruhan. Thank you Yenner ! The performance is in a beautiful...More

If you are going to attend the religious Whirling Dervish ceremony try one that is authentic. This one is and is very well explained. It was fascinating watching the priests move in and out of their trance while they danced. Very moving. Forget what you've...More

I thought this Whirling Dervish evening would just be a hokey-for-the-tourist-show, and maybe it is, but it's really beautiful an very moving. If you've never done one, try it. And this is done in the fantastically restored Saruhan Carevanserai which is worth seeing anyway.

I believe it was about 8 PM. The hotel will arrange for pick up and return for you. I think the shows are only in the evening. It can be cool so take jacket.
