Goreme is probably one of the most beautiful places I've been to. It's breathtaking landscapes, great market, and authentic food make it a place that I would recommend to anyone (especially individuals on a budget- it's very affordable!).

This open air museum is fantastic and kids-friendly. It spans across wide area in the old heritage of Goreme and it takes around 1-2 hours to explore all. It has so many cave churches that are interesting to explore for history and archeology freaks.

I strongly recommend everyone to see that open air museum. If you reach to Göreme around noon time, before completion of the day you can have a nice walk and visit the museum by your self. It is possible to have in the entrance of the museum tour guide headset and you can follow the instructions and complete your tour... More

Visit of the Göreme National Park is a must if you go to Cappadocia. Please do not forget to visit Tokalı Church and Sognali Church after leaving this place. Both of them are close. This is a place where you feel being on another planet or in a motion picture studio.

Breath taking landscape backed with enchanting deep history. A must visit! Climbing and absorbing all around are the strongest memories! Pigeon houses and cold weather also comes to mind so be sure to wrap up during the first few weeks of April!

This place has some of the earliest churches in Christianity. You can see frescoes painted inside several of the churches. There is a nice museum and snack bar too. The place is mostly accessible for disabled.

I visited cappadocia with a tour and the fist place we visited was Göreme National Park. The guide explained the history of all the churches all around and when they were used as churches and houses, the history of Christianity that goes back to the 1st century. The place is literally amazing, it's an open air museum. Take your time... More
