Small fort yet has a labyrinthe of cells, doorways, and stairs. Larger and much better than the Ribat in Sousse, worth visiting. Make sure to climb up to the top- the stairs are narrow but in good shape. Great views of the beach and sea....More

Big fort next to the sea! It is truly remarkable! Fun little side note, the Life of Brian was filmed here.

An old fortress located near the sea. This was the most impressive sight I visited in Monastir. Make sure to go to the top of the tower where you will find an amazing view of the city.

This is an impressive castle and well worth a visit (as we realised later it's where one of the Monty Python's was filmed!) Just as impressive is the view from nearby the castle down to the sea. A lovely spot
