I liked this fort very much. It was in remarkably good condition bearing in mind some parts were constructed over 1000 years ago. The entry cost is only 7 dinar. You get some great views from the tower. Well worth a visit.

This is a great Ribat/Castle that sits on the edge of the seafront and once would protect the town from any attackers. A number of films have been filmed here and the most famous being (in my opinion) the ‘Life of Brian’. The cost of...More

So many rooms on different levels this fort would be great fun for children. From the top, there is a good view of Monastir.

We had a great night of music in the castle, but the act were over 1 hour late on stage. I nearly gave up and got a taxi back to the hotel. But they were good when they came on.

Small museum, but wonderful place to explore the old architecture and history. Inexpensive. Perfect view from the tower.

The Ribat is impressive. The view from the top of the tower is worth the slick stairwell. Reading about the history (some of it was in English) made this monument even more interesting.
