If you ignore the large shop above (tourist trap if ever we've seen one), this is a pretty amazing, and seemingly lesser known, location. We came here on a rainy afternoon and were the only people here! We spent probably an hour and a half or thereabouts looking through the museum (on the lower level) - they seem to have... More

Surprisingly well organized and deployed exhibition. Some interesting specimen present. Besides that mostly a shop with souvenirs.

This appears to be primarily a show room for sales, we dropped in to have coffee with a clear advertisement for it, but no coffee available. Lovely looking building which may be a bit of a white elephant

It was raining in Phuket so we looked for things to do. This place is not well advertised but it was a nice places to go. It's got a really extensive range of shells which are well presented with good information about them. It kept us entertained for about an hour and the gift shop isn't expensive.

May seem like missing, but we spent an amazing 1 1/2 hours going round the museum. Much bigger than at first it seemed and fascinating collection. Only downside is the information sheets in the cases are fading fast so not always easy to read!! Looks like money spent on this attraction, but have never seen it advertised. A chance encounter.

A very nice collection of different types of shells. The museum is small but it packs a good amount of material.

Its easy to reach just on a main highway and the entrance fee is also very low. It has a large and full of sea related items gift shop as soon as you go in so its a good place for some gifts too. The museum itself is not really big but it has the biggest and most unusual shells... More

Good air conditioned museum in Rawai. Value of money, real high level museum! There are plenty of space and usually do not see many people inside.

Interesting place to visit, but would be a TERRIFIC place to tour if you had a real interest in sea shell life. Beautifully displayed, but some of the written cards were quite faded and difficult to read.
