I really enjoy the visit of this Palace. The garden is amazing. All is peaceful, quiet. Some monkeys around but they are not agressive if you respect them : not feed them or the problems start...

The day we visited they were blasting loud music from a stack of amplifiers. Some monks were very helpful and showed us around and explained the history, yet other people conned us into giving an offering (including money) to a monk who then blessed us. Not a particularly spiritual experience!

The park itself might be beautiful but for us it was not worth the entrance fee of 150 baht, if you concider that locals only pay 20 baht. (It's written in Thai so tourists won't notice it) Also the monkeys were a real plague. We carried each a stick to protect ourselves and it we needed it several times. Luckily... More

Absolutely beautiful walk and sightseeing. Let yourself be guided by the paths lined with greenery to discover the whole park with its stupas and palaces in a frangipani forest. Plan minimum a half day if you really want to see everything.

Khao Wang comprises of Palaces, Temples, Royal Halls, Pagodas, Chedis and other buildings and is spread out over three hill peaks. Some of the buildings are in classical Thai style, while others are greatly influenced by European neo classical or Chinese style. Imagine this is good place for photo shooting. Getting to the top hill is easy. There is a... More

We enjoyed our trip which consisted of walking up the hill relatively early in the morning. It got hotter & more crowded as the day went on & there was a sign apologising for closing early that day (14.00) so we were glad we had not left it until later. Some of the monkeys can be a little scary but... More

Caught the cable car up and I did think healthy and safety wasn't too evident in Thailand but these cable cars are safe, modern and run frequently. Didn't see any problems with them and I was looking to make sure it was safe! The views at the top, of the temples there and the views over the city are fantastic.... More

You could spend a lot of time here just sitting back and taking in the views and looking at the interesting buildings and contents. We would have loved to bring home one of the lamp-posts and some of the interesting items in the rooms!! Unfortunately Mr Benz could not fit them into his Toyota Landcruiser.
