The five white pinnacled stupas are very distinctive and a landmark of Phetchaburi. However, we were disappointed to see water animals for sale at the entrance gate (for example two fully grown frogs in a small plastic bag filled with water) which appeared cruel in the heat of the day; our rating of this site would have been higher but... Amazing temple and kind people. Amazing crypt at the back showing Buddhas. A must see. We took our 9 and 6 year old and thought it was good. We also bought water animals to release into Phetchaburi river.

Although we could see this fascinating place from in town, we were unable to visit as the cable car was broken. We were very disappointed as we had read about and could only see tantalising bits from a distance

We went there while doing our small sightseeing tour and at first I was a bit disappointed. It looked so small and as if there was nothing. But don't let yourself be fooled by this! There are various temples. One is really small where we met an incredibly nice monk who even knew some english! You also can see numerous... More

Right in the centre of Phentchaburi town, this temple complex is stunning with excellent stucco work, murals and Buddas. At the centre of the complex is a large courtyard enclosed by a cloister where five massive prangs, known as “Phra Prang Ha Yod”, or five peak prang. Built in the Khmer/Lopburi style, the towers can be seen from almost anywhere... More

Booked a 4-stop day trip via hotel using World Travel Service Ltd. Our guide, Mee, was a lovely lady and very knowledgeable. She gave each of us flowers, incense and gold leaf and talked us through the prayer/ceremony process, which was a lovely experience. The statues are laden with 'gold leaf', low-lit and the wall murals are beautiful, albeit a... More

Temples likes stand out. Almost same quality as Wat Yai in Phitsanulok. Very nice and authentic images and wall paintings. Amazing prangs. A beauty. Before you go you should Google a bit so you know what you are looking at.

One of the big three temples in Phetchaburi and the towers stand out for miles and can be seen from anywhere in town. The wall paintings are amazing albeit slightly faded and the Buddhas make a good focal point. The only down side is that it is in a noisy part of town which takes away its mystical charm somewhat.
