Apart from the temple, not much to see except for the view along the coast and the monkeys which are everywhere. Steep climb up the steps to the temple. No need to stay more than 30-40 minutes. Interesting fishing village on the road leading to...More

We could see the hill and the Buddha from our hotel and it was a nice 20 minute walk along the beach to get there. It looks nice from a distance, however, when you get closer it's a bit run down looking, that said there...More

This place used to be clean and beautiful. Now, you can see a lot of monkeys. There's a temple on the hill. You have to climb up to the temple and see the city view and ocean from there, just be careful with monkeys. Women...More

This is a fun day out, beautiful sights of Hua Hin with the bonus of soooo many monkeys! The monkeys were cute playing with stones in the puddles and they seem well behaved. Worth a look.

Nice view but requests for donations around every corner. If you have a long time in Hua Hin then worth taking a trip. Make sure you have transport back to the town centre/hotel as there is no transport to come back from the temple.

Overpriced. Great location , full of Japanese who seem content to fork out £50 each for lunch. Long drive, go to the local temple and have a meal in one of the local restaurants. We did and had a superb Pad Thai Give this place...More

It was great when I went here years ago, but now there are nearly no monkeys and most of it is closed. Not the same any more. Don't bother.

It's well worth a visit if you're in the area. The monkeys are all very relaxed and font mind you getting quite close (it's very important to respect their space and always stay a few metres away though!). They're great fun to watch interacting, and...More

No entrance fee, but what I will add is, if you get a tuk yuk or taxi there, get them to stay and wait for you, we found that once we got dropped off there wasn't any taxis heading back and had to get a local shop owner to... More

OK, I am not sure what you mean by "Monkey Island", some people call it Monkey Mountain, but if you go up the steep, steep winding road all the way to the top to where the steps to the Temple on the very top of the mountain... More
