As from 1st October 2017 we are proud to announce that trekking will no longer be offered at Hutsadin, instead we offer our visitors a range of activities that promote a close interaction with our elephants. In a safe environment for both elephant and visitor. Here you can take a bareback ride, walk with an elephant, shower and feed them or simply visit us. We also offer educational talks 3 days a week and a 3 hour mahout experience is available twice a week. Check out our website activities page where you will find full descriptions of the activities that we offer along with costs.

It was good to see the elephants at Hutsadin, however when they knew we just wanted to look around and maybe take a few photos they seemed to follow us around. We did feed an elephant but was disappointed to see the elephant pick up...More

Sorry that you were disappointed with your visit but as you didn't pay an entrance fee It is a bit unfair to be critical of the staff. It would be so dangerous to allow visitors to wander around the property alone - elephants can be...More

What an amazing experience. A chance to get close up to these magnificent animals. There’s a choice of walking with, washing or bareback riding the elephants... we decided to make the most of the experience and do all three which cost 3500 bhat...for two, about...More

Wow, you certainly did make the most of your time at Hutsadin - thank you for choosing to visit us. As a volunteer myself I would love to be able to stop the mahouts selling their bracelets but they are plastic and the owner is...More

What an amazing day trip. Open from 2pm we shared a 4x4 with another couple. We were very lucky as we got up close to a few family of elephants and it was a surreal experience. An absolute must when visiting hua hin

I'm sorry but this review is not for Hutsadin Elephant Foundation. I think you may be referring to Kuriburi national park :)

I had a fabulous morning at Hutsadin. I did the walk with the elephant and the bareback ride. I would have done the mahout experience, but sadly it is not available on Saturdays. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and obviously care deeply for the animals....More

So glad that you enjoyed your time with our elephants and volunteers - perhaps you will be able to return again one day and take part in the mahout experience :)

If you want to see Elephants being elephants, this is the place to go. Their humane treatment and rescue of these big beautiful creatures is so different to the other parks and places. Walking, feeding and getting a cuddle from the elephants was so amazing...More

What an incredible experience to participate in. To be able to walk with an elephant, feed it and wash it was amazing and something that we’ll never forget! It was well worth the money and it felt positive to be contributing to such a good...More

We chose the option of what turned out to be a comfortable walk with an elephant (along with the keeper, and an American volunteer) and our family (two adults, a 9 year old girl, 7 year old girl and 3 year old boy) loved it...More

Thank you so much for taking the opportunity of walking with one of our elephants. All of our volunteers are ex pats and we would not give our time to a charity that exploited any of the animals in our care, so thank you for...More

A good place to visit. I was a bit sceptical about such a place. But after speaking to the staff it is a sanctuary for abused elephants. It is still a business/foundation but the elephants do look like they are well kept and looked after....More

I would like to point out that we are not a sanctuary in as much as our elephants do not roam freely around the property. We do purchase elephants that are usually in pretty poor health and give them all the care and medical attention...More

Lovely trip, very short and a little expensive at 800bt each but can't see I'll ever do anything like it again. Thanks to the obviously caring handler and volunteer. Would recommend.

Sorry that you felt that your visit was expensive but as you say it is a unique experience that you probably will never be able to repeat :)

You know when you walk into a place like this that there is something special about it. Happy looking dogs, chickens, roosters, elephants etc. all under one roof, all being cared for. This is NOT a zoo. There is a propensity for people to judge...More

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with others. As you so rightly point out, we are not a Zoo and that is probably the greatest compliment you could give us. We care for each and every animal at the Foundation whether it be...More

Hi, Praknampran is at least a 35 minute drive from us so a taxi would be the best option - just make sure that the driver brings you to Hutsadin and not the other elephant camp, if you don't see our TripAdvisor certificate... More
