We left chiang Rai between 7-8am to get here & it was well worth it. Getting there early avoided the heat for what I would say is a little more than the 1.4km stated. The walk through a bamboo forest is really nice & occasionally...More

We first visited the White Temple which we adored and then set off for the waterfall. First, there is too much walking, second there are too many people, third the swimming at the waterfall is poor. The following day we did the waterfall tour with...More

We spent the day motorbiking around Chiang Rai and ended up at Khun Kon. The hike in was fairly easy along the roller coaster (up/down) trail through the dense jungle. The trail ended at the 200ft falls that were really cool. (http://www.onefortheroadphoto.com/Travel/Thailand/27155705_VMDgr6#!i=2280386486&k=9WsCV7Q&lb=1&s=A)

be ready for quite a walk. We wondered whether the distance is marked in km or miles :-) The hike is worth it, do it in the morning - it is not that hot and they are no people there!
