Further down the beach, away from the beach chairs and umbrellas, there is a nice walk (concrete footpath rather than a wooden boardwalk!) along the seafront with the waves slapping against the rocks. It's less crowded at weekends and is a pleasant stroll.

Loads of deckchairs and food stands. Banana boats, rings etc. nice sand. Seems family friendly, very busy at weekends as it is close to Bangkok.

I live in Bang saen and it frustrates me at the condition of the beach. If it's not beer bottles and food waste it's plastic bags and dig excrement.I would not take my children onto the beach. At the weekend there are 100's of visitors...More

I agree with Vince M - it would be better to get a hotel near the airport (there are lots of inexpensive ones that will pick you up from the airport) and travel the next day. If you do decide to travel to Bang Saen directly... More
