Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

White Sand Beach truly lives up to its name. The sand is soft and fine, and the water is crystal clear. Walking along the shore in the evening while watching the sunset was the most beautiful moment. I enjoyed a drink under lantern lights by the sea, listening to the gentle waves. The atmosphere was calm yet lively a perfect place to recharge and let your mind truly relax.

Whilst this beach is still beautiful and quiet for those wanting to relax, it does not have white sand, which is kind of confusing considering it's name and other people's reviews. Strange! Nor is the beach water crystal clear, as reported. Perhaps from the heavy rain the night before? Who knows! However, there are the most beautiful trees along the sand,
with their exposed roots. Water was warm, as are all beaches along this strip, but if you are expecting white sand, be aware there is none (and we couldn't have missed it as we walked to adjacent beaches on either side). Still a wonderful day though.

Present on September 1st for the opening, in select committee in this beautiful place. In an idyllic setting, for a reasonable Award you can enjoy a good cocktail and Thai dishes.
The place is magical and deserves the detour, to do absolutely!!

Nice beach with friendly staff. 3 sun loungers with parasols cost 150 bath. Older chairs with a comfortable cushion with small head pillow.
The restaurant was in the shade and had nice service and good food.
Choose sun loungers on the left side of the beach if you want a lot of sun, which is where it comes first.
Nice baths! We went for walks in both directions, where you can climb among trees and branches. Cozy and beautiful!
A little difficult to get taxi at 16 o'clock, we had to wait about 20 min.So it might be an idea to pre-book, many tuktuk are happy to take these bookings.

This beach has changed a lot since the 15 years I went there but because of the rising water. Otherwise the setting is always soothing and revitalizing. Very good food and enchanting views. Too bad a lot of jellyfish and sand less beautiful than before but still nice to go back.

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed, friendly beachside location looking out to the Andermann sea then here it is. As it looks Westwards you'll get stunning sunsets in the evenings and with the fairy lights in the trees it's truly magical! The staff at the restaurant are very good and not remotely pushy, the food excellent and freshly cooked.
We visited most days for a few hours of relaxation, lunch or dinner and a fantastic massage next door, highly recommended!

This is a beautiful and inexpensive beachside location that makes optimal use of the surrounding trees and beautiful white sand. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home here and will certainly return the next time we come to this part of Thailand.

Beautiful beach that we visited twice during our stay at the Apsara resort a 300 THB return taxi trip away. Plenty of sunbeds with umbrellas for hire 150THB by the beach entrance and 100THB further away to the left which became our preferred spot as it was quieter and we liked the smaller restaurant and bar. Papaya salad and freshly baked Pizza for lunch with a couple of cold beers went down a treat. Plenty of shade provided by the trees growing right to the edge of the beach if you simply want to lie on the sand. Idyllic.

Khao Lak has many beaches and White Sand Beach is advertised as something out of this world, however, when we got there we realised that it was not worth the hype. There are some rocks when you enter the sea, the sunbeds are 150 Baht each, when we ordered cocktails they never showed up. Before that we were taken to the 8 Fish beach by our taxi driver, a local, who said that it was better than White Sand or Coconut beach, as it was less touristy. After the White Sand beach we went back to 8 Fish beach, where the sand is smooth as you enter the sea, which is better for the kids. There are sunbeds (100 Baht each) there as well and natural shade provided by the trees.

Hej,
Finna det taxibilar/ tuktuk stående vid White Sand Beach eller måste man be om att bli upphämtad innan när man blir avsläppt?
Var där för 15 år sedan och då var det nämligen så samt fanns det en restaurang där då :)

How far is from Khao lak beach resort and spa please
Written 20 June 2019
Jump in a taxi out of the back gate of the resort (on the beach) and grab the 1st taxi parked on your left. Mr Kittwat. He’s a great bloke. It’s about a 7 min ride and shouldn’t be any more than 200thb.

Hi Please can you tell me how far this beach is from the Mai Khao Lak, can you walk also are there many bars/restaurants here, we are coming in April ? Thanks
Written 20 January 2018
Hi Abscod, it’s probably 3-4km, I would recommend renting a motorbike for cheap, under 200thb/day to get you there - then you have freedom to go anywhere up and down ththe coast. If you don’t want to rent a motorbike, bicycles are available, but it’ll be a harder trek in the heat in April, maybe a taxi gets you there also really cheap, probably under 300thb one way. It’s worth it☺️
