Whilst in Thailand the wife and I thought none other than to find some Thai boxing. Although not very well advertised, the locals, taxi drivers and waiters/waitresses were quick to let you know what was on and when. The khao lak stadium, home to Thai boxing, is located just outside of the Bang Niang main strip, between the 7eleven and... More

We've been to see Muay Thai in Bangkok and although this was a much smaller stadium I liked it because I felt you could see a lot more. The fights begin with children and then work up to adults. Fairly brutal at times! Good to be in with locals. Being there as part of Rawai Muay Thai was a cool... More

Average , great Thai boxing but stadium worn and seating, my main gripe is pricing , be warned there are two tickets , when you approach the ticket office they have black ticket with Thai writing 70 baht about £1:50 for locals and then one that say VIP 1300 baht about £25 , they offer a 1000 baht ticket which... 10 fights with 5 rounds each. Atmosphere is good, bit pricey but expect it everywhere like this as a tourist. Bar was well stocked and was very reasonable. Only let down was it was mostly children fighting, only one adult fight, and although the referee stopped a fight if one looked very hurt, you wonder how much good all that... More

It was great to see this live with the locals. The fighters are small, tough and inspirational. The fights seem to be safe for the fighters as soon as they are hurt the fights are stopped. 10 fights with up to 5 rounds each you get to see plenty of action. The stadium would not be easy to find by yourself.... More

Muay Thai boxing stadium that attracts many fighters across the world. Every friday contestants novice or famous are attracted here. The stadium, though not large by American standards, has great seating options available. The ring is surrounded by dining tables and bleachers.

I am pretty good at bartering, walking away, etc but these guys want say $20 for large pool play animal! Nuts cos our hotel had them at... More

We stayed at the la flora resort in Kho Lak and mentioned to a taxi (one of the wee converted truck) about the boxing in Kho Lak. He arranged to pick us up from our meal and took us to the venue (which is about a ten minute ride away) and came back to pick us up following the fights... More

It was good I guess, if you have never seen Thao boxing before. £20 entry, was obviously aimed at the tourists. Not a packed arena, more like a gym. 9 fights and 6 knockouts, was brutal at times.
