This place is stuck in 1993 in a bad way. You can not pay by a card. They ask you to join them on the Facebook without the internet access. Usually people are coming after safaris ( no internet) and it is terrible to understand you can not check your mails again. Rooms has no facilities, but very clean. Toilets... More

Stayed here 2 nights with my overland camping tour before and after the Serengeti. The first night the campsite was super busy so the shared facilities weren't very clean. However when we cam back for the second night, everything was really clean and had hot showers. The owners are fantastic, Ma & BJ are so sweet and you can see... More

The Meserani snake park is a must see. However, do not visit it before going on safari, or you might cancel your plans. Boas, Mambas, Vipers and Pythons can be very dangerous. And you might meet them all on your safari. The place also serves as a clinic for snake bitten locals. They produce antidotes to most of the common... More

We camped here for one night before going to the Serengeti, and stayed in one of the rooms for a night on our return. The owners/hosts are fantastic, the bar is great and lots to keep the kids interested onsite - camel rides, snake park (included with the accommodation), Masai museum, the snake bite clinic and even just playing darts... We spent 2 nights camping here (good facilities but dusty), Ma & BJ run the place and are fantastic, it's the best bar in Tanzania - don't miss it! We had a Masai guide show us around the small Masai museum (outside local ladies sell jewelry etc.), the snake bite clinic which is doing incredible work providing free treatment to... More

I'm a professional biologist, and while I love visiting zoos, it's rare for me to learn much that I didn't already know. Meserani Snake Park was an enjoyable exception. Admission was $15 and included a personal guide who told me a little about every animal at the park. He was great at answering my questions and was extremely knowledgeable. The... More

Since we didn't see any snake during the safari we decided to visit the serpentarium and was very nice, we learned a lot about all snakes, turtles, lizards and crocodiles. They also have a Masai Museum but didn't like it that much...

An interesting place to visit to view variety of snakes and other animals. Snakes available to be held. Informative guide. Had person in wheelchair and did not charge. Surface of paths good but entrance a little difficult to negotiate with manual wheelchair

i spent a night here even if our group didn't visit snake park. I would love to share photos of the accomodation with you.. Campsite is big enough. Beside of the space, there are enough rooms. Also kitchen (cooking for campers) space is plenty ! As I had to depart in the very early morning next day, I chose 2... More
