Lovely place to visit

Located in the middle of city, this lake seems like common watery place. The special things are the pavilion nearby. You can take bus from New Zuoying station. The area are so wide. No watery activities here.

We did a ship tour which included Lotus Lake. We watched the skiing. They were being pulled by a wire guide. There are two towers built on the water you can climb. We had to pay a donation to go up them. There were more buildings we didnt get to further round if you have time. There are shops and... More

Lotus Lake is a must-visit when in Kaohsiung City. You can either alight at Zuoying or Ecological District station and have a 20min walk to this beautiful place. Also perfect for an evening run, and you can capture great photographs!

Have bought to this place by my Taiwanese friend, which the local have mentioned that a lot of people have came here to pray for good health, career, relationship........etc. The place is big and it will take quite a while for the walking, the only bad thing is that there is no mrt station nearby, only a train station and... Lotus Pond is a large lake in northern Kaohsiung in the Zuoying District. It owes its name to the many lotus plants in the lake that blossom every summer, apparently first planted centuries ago. It started as a smaller natural lake, but was expanded several times to its present size. The real draw to Lotus Pond are the temples and... More

An interesting place to spend 1-2 hours of your day. We enjoyed taking photos and walking around. Not much shelter around so you will be walking under the hot sun. Do bring along your sunglass and water.

Lotus Pond is a relaxing day out offering a level, scenic pathway around the pond. There is much to see and it was relatively quiet with not too many tourists. There's the Tiger Dragon Tower, a visitor's centre, a large pagoda out across a pier over the pond, Spring and Autumn Temple, another huge temple of a God or something?... More

Beatiful scenery and great place to enjoy traditional chinese architecture. I advise to go by day and by the night as the building reflecting in the waters of the lake make it look really beatiful

Walkway goes around the whole lake. Not well kept though. Traffic and tons of stalls line the outside. Be careful when walking close to the roads...TONS of scooters not following traffic rules. Almost impossible catching a taxi here.
