good place to hire a catamaran ride on the lake. further up on the bridge, you could hire fishing rods and cast them.

We took a boat down the canal there wasn't much to see except people living in extreme poverty. Made us realise how lucky we are but do these people really want to be gawped at by tourists. I don't think so.

The canal in the immediate environment of Negombo may not look very interesting, but a trip will bring you a bit further to interesting views. The boatsman will probably show you some animals you weren't even aware of.

Another must do for visitors to Negombo, cruise the canal built by the Dutch colonialists. There are many operators who would take tourists on the canal tour in safe Motor boats. A very relaxing outing on the water

Yes used Asda tours, reliable and nice people who want to make sure you see their country. I would use them again.
