Spent a totally enjoyable morning cycling with my partner and 2 year old through the gorgeous quiet lanes and paddy fields behind wijaya beach near Galle. Friendly relaxed guide. Best bikes we've ridden in a long time and the free child seat provided was safe and comfy. Choose this crew, they're the ones you want to cycle with.

A 1.5 hour escorted cycle ride along small and fairly quiet roads where you can see rice paddies, temples, gardens, villagers and canals. We saw tons of birds, land monitors, water buffalo, and cows. The bikes are good quality and they provide helmets and water, too. Mostly flat but a few hills up and down. A lovely excursion with a... More

We arrived at Idle Bikes and found our bikes (in great condition) all lined up waiting for us with cold bottles of water, including a bike for Miss 10. We set off down rocky dirt roads, surfaced roads and small dirt tracks on a mostly flat and shady route. We cycled past Buddist temples, rice paddies, villages, coconut plantations, a canal... More

Amazing views, amazing tour guide. We booked last minute, via email the night before, with quick accommodating response for the 12km paddy field tour. Not being the fittest it was perfect, flat and reasonably easy ride. Would definitely recommend if in Galle.

We did a 2 1/2 hour "Paddy fields and Lake" cycle tour. The bikes were better than average hire bikes, comfortable seats and the gears and brakes all worked well. Our guide was really great, good English and very attentive. We found the cost to be reasonable. The countryside was beautiful. A mixture of paddy fields, villages and lakeside. Cycling... More

Started on the bikes about 10am, and cycled for around 11/2 hours through paddy fields, local villages etc. All the locals very friendly and I'm sure getting a giggle at the dafties on a bike in 30+ degrees when they were under their umbrellas for shade! The bikes are adequate and the guide was able point out birds and wildlife... More

We decided it would be good to see more of the real Sri Lanka away from the built up tourist areas, and this is the perfect way to do it. The 26km route we rode along the edge of Koggala Lake through rice paddy fields and cinnamon plantations was wonderful, and exactly what we had hoped for.. We passed through... More

We did a 2 hours cycle tour with our two sons aged 10 and 8 and we all loved it. The cycling was steady and pretty flat but the views were incredible...we cycled with our guide through villages and around beautiful paddy fields . Each time our guide Hassi stopped to show us plans and interesting wildlife. This is a... More

I was antsy to do something somewhat active after exhausting my shopping options in Galle so I booked a last minute 12 km bike ride with Idle Tours. For around US$20/person, we were picked up at our hotel in Galle, taken on the 12 km ride and then dropped off at our hotel. The bike ride was interesting (we went... More
