Fantastic walk inside with different exits, easy to walk around with a nice spiritual feeling. Only downsize of it was the people on the ticket booth with zero patience to get your money even with nobody on line.

I would have appreciated this place more if we had more time. But since there was limited time I wasn't able to fully enjoy the experience there. There were so many tombs but we were just able to see one which is this one. The items inside are supposedly not the actual ones as well.

We went to Tumuli park where this tomb was located during a shore excursion from Busan. The tomb is from the Silla kingdom that existed from 668 to 935 AD. The person buried here is unknown but the tomb itself is known as the Heavenly Horse Tomb. The tomb which contained a lot of gold relics was discovered in 1971.... More

These are the tombs of the royals and their retainers- they are an important historical and cultural monument, and a lovely walk. It is a usual stop on the booked day tours.

The tombs in this complex are mounds of various sizes set in a fenced in area t which you can get access for a reasonably small entrance fee. A winding path leads you through and the atmosphere in this magical place is just incredible especially during the early evening hours, when the light is low and the shadows emphasize the... More

This place is beautiful and comfortable. It is easy to take good pictures if the weather is nice. We sat at a bench and looked at the nice scenery for an hour under the warm sun in November. There are not many to do in Cheonmachong Tomb apart from enjoying the nice environment. If it is not your cup of... More

It will take you less than 5 minutes if you are fast but what the Cheonmachong Tomb does is to give a preliminary overview of how the tomb looks like from the inside and how it has been built. Without this knowledge, you are basically staring at oversized mounds. The Gyeongju National Museum is also a terrific place to learn... More

This tomb is among the many tomb mounds that dot Gyeongju. Perhaps the most interesting thing is seeing how modern Gyeongju has grown and developed around these various tombs. You will see modern buildings literally feet from these tomb mounds. This particular tomb has been opened for the public to see. Unfortunately, the tomb's innards have opened so that it... More

Cheonmachong Tomb or also known as the Tomb of Heavenly Horse was an ancient tumulus located inside the Daereungwon tomb park. The tomb was known as the heavenly horse tomb because when the tomb was excavated, a saddle with a painting of a white horse was found. There were also other precious items found inside the tomb including a gold... More

The tomb is situated in parkland which lots of beautiful trees. Entry is free. It is quite small and tends to be crowded if there are tour groups. Artefacts and old royal jewellery are displayed. The tomb is that of an unknown Silla Kindgom king.
