We took a half day trip to the island which was about 10 minutes off Praslin. The beach was nice but there are many much nicer on Praslin. Seeing the giant turtles was nice but you can only spend so much time watching and feeding...More

A great place to view and come close to the tortoise. The large ones walk freely around, the young ones are kept in cages to prevent from being stolen.

If you’re planning to go from the one side (where the turtles are) to the other (beautiful beach), wear proper footwear, not flip flops like we did. It took us approximately 40 minutes to cross the island and the heat was unbearable, but when we...More

Giant tortoises can be found at other islands, but there they are put as a mere attraction, on this island they help them breeding, and one can get close by to them in a natural environment. Further on the island is a mangrove forest which...More

We went with a rubber boat to the island, therefore we landed just at the beginning of the sand. A bit of wet feet. Not really difficult other than to jump out of the rubber boat with the help of the other people.
