OK, so this is going to be one of my weirdest ever reviews, because of Covid, we had to cancel our trip and I never actually got to go on a tour with Joe. But Joe's patience, kindness and generosity of spirit was so remarkable that I feel compelled to leave a review nonetheless. Over about seven months, Joe worked closely with me in planning an extraordinary trip throughout all of Israel. Every question I emailed him was met by a quick, thorough, and well-thought out response. Joe actually ENCOURAGED my questions. He must have answered somewhere between 75 and 100 emails about our itinerary, and gave me great insight into what places might be of more historical/spiritual significance, and what places were tourist traps or might best be avoided. The thing is, Joe walked me through all of these options, in email after email, without ever making me feel like I was wasting his time or annoying him. He seemed genuinely interested in helping craft a 5 day tour of Israel-- from top to bottom-- that would be the most meaningful and enjoyable for our family in the limited time we had. On one occasion, I told Joe that to reduce our costs, we would give Joe a day off of our tour in the Galilee region and rent a car and visit various sights ourselves. Joe said that because of holidays and parking and other issues, it might be difficult for us to navigate this day on our own, and he didn't want us to be frustrated, so his solution was simple: he would simply take us anywhere we wanted to go for the entire day-- and NOT CHARGE US ANYTHING FOR THE ENTIRE DAY. Seriously, this is how committed Joe was to making sure that we had a great experience at every leg of our tour. When we had to cancel our trip due to Covid restrictions, Joe immediately offered to refund me my entire deposit. I told Joe to give himself a small portion of my deposit as a small thank you for all of the time he invested in us. Not surprising, Joe thanked me for the offer and sent me back at the entire deposit. This experience with Joe-- someone I've never even MET--has made me even more determined to visit Israel once the pandemic is over.

Joe Sofair is a really nice guy. Our family of six (2 grandparents in their late 70s, 2 parents in their 40s and 2 teenage boys) loved our 3 days with Joe in the north of Israel. We are so happy that we connected with him and were able to book him to guide us. Joe was genuine, energetic, kind, very knowledgeable, flexible and an overall nice fellow. His vehicle was comfortable, and he was always very organised, enabling us to cover so many sites. Joe was great in developing a friendly rapport with all of us, having good conversations and sharing with us his deep knowledge of history, archaeology, the Bible, geography and current events. We all thought it was pretty neat that Joe is doing more studying to further expand his understanding of religion in Israel. We also loved hearing about Joe's volunteer work with youth and the ambulance service. He's very fit and a great frisbee player too! We'd all highly recommend Joe for a tour of Israel. You'll be in good hands.

I traveled with three other adults and we are unanimous in our praise of Joe. He picked us up in Tel Aviv, toured with us up the northern coast and through the Golan and Galilee before spending a day in Jerusalem. Although we more often travel independently, there is no way we could have experienced so much on our own. We felt confident in doing much of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on our own, but wanted a guide for northern Israel. Joe helped us craft an itinerary that gave each of us things that we were interested in (including archeology, military history, wine/gourmet foods etc). He has a broad range of knowledge, was very flexible, full of ideas, and enabled us to go places such as Jericho that were interesting and not on our initial list of ideas. He is kind, patient, funny, and easy to communicate with. I cannot say enough good things! I’ll be happy to share info about our trip.

Five of us spent three full days in the Galilee area in early April with Joe Sofair as our guide, driver. Joe is a great guy who quickly became a friend. Joe is deeply knowleged on all aspects of the history and current status of Israel, especially the Galilee reagon. He has a little black bible he carries and at so many key points gathered us together to read the key passage that relayed to the particular sight. This made so many historic places so extra special. Joe was a fun guy to be with and made our time together very special. So travel with Joe, learn so much about ISRAEL and the cradle of our Christian and a Jewish faiths have some fun and make a new friend.

We spent four days touring with Joe throughout Israel. Joe is an encyclopedia of information! His experience and knowledge made for a phenomenal tour. His personal stories allowed us to get to know him and his family a little and really added to our experience. We just thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and as first timers to Israel we are so glad we booked a private tour with Joe!
