For us, this was a "must see". The historical/Christian connection makes it so much more than just a lake. Drive around it to see the variety of vegetation and lifestyles.

About an hour walk along the stream of wadi Daliot. The hight of the water is between 70cm to 120cm. Walking is in the shade all the way. real fun with children.

The only sweet water lake in Israel . Very popular touristic attraction , as a vacation and swimming lake and as an historical Christian important attraction. Very nice views as well as historical importance for the Christian pilgrims visiting Israel . In the past the main source for sweet water for the whole country .

On the way to Nazareth and Jordan river you pay by at this huge water reservoir. Unbelievable how big this lake is! The surrounding area is great, the lacke is blue like the sky and you get the chance to stop by at the place where Jesus lived and went fishing.

The Sea of Galilee is very central to the biblical stories of the life and ministry of Jesus. It is a beautiful body of water and is the major water source for much of th eland of Israel. It was clear and clean and we could see from shore to shore while we were there.

There it sits as part of ancient and current history. The Golan Heights sit across the sea and I realized how important they are to Israel. We visited various places along the sea. Local children were swimming.

A must trip to this beautiful site. The water level in the beautiful Lake Kineret, reflects the national spirit of the people of Israel. The Kineret or Sea of Galilee is Israel's largest fresh water reservoir and is also the most important source of drinking water. A beautiful picnic spot too and must visit place. I loved it

We took a boat ride across the sea. It was peaceful and we could see Christian sites in the distance. As a pilgrim we were happy to be able to do it
