This is a Kibutz that has converted some of their accommodating to guest rooms. I stopped here in a tour and the rooms are very good. Comfortable and a good bathroom. Towels are changed everyday. The only downside is the wifi. it is very poor in the accommodation that is not in the main hotel. The food here is first... More

Kibbutz Ginosar has a museum devoted to a small fishermen boat that was found at the bottom of the Sea of Galilee in the 80's. The boat is 2,000 years old and it is beautifully preserved and displayed. There is a short video about the finding of the boat, the rescue, excavation, preservation and research. The Kibbutz is not far... More

I am reviewing the Ginosar Museum and not the village since the important and most recommended issue is this special museum. The special item is a boat dating from the days Jesus stayed in that area. The boat has been found in the water of the sea and has been brought to this museum. A special piece of history which... More

This is not a luxury hotel. It is basic, and popular among the locals. Has a very nice breakfast menu, and it is right off of the beach. There is also a very nice museum attached to the property with art and archaeological exhibits, including the ancient boat which dates back to the time of Jesus.

I really can't speak much about the village as we didn't really stay long but The Museum (and I use that term very loosely) is a must see, it was more of an educational presentation about the discovery of the Jesus boat than an actual museum though, as there really isn't a museum here. The building basically houses one thing... More

We had a good lunch here. It was not outstanding but it was good. We had an option of meats, good veggies and real good bread and salad options.

the hotel is located in kibbutz ginnosar which has a lovely walk arounf and also the yigal allon museum. our room was in the building which over looks the grass area and was very well maintained, the pool is close by but it is a walk to the kinneret and now the chairs must be paid for .

We had a great guide who helped us understand what we saw. The place is very interesting where you can see an ancient boat since the time of Jesus.

Every May a few thousand folks converge on Ginosar where a big folk music festival happens. Most people camp out in tents while the village and hotel offer rooms and meals. There are 5 stages and lots of dancing, music and crafts workshops. I have been going loyally for over 20 years and it is truly a fabulous experience not... More

I came here especially to see the museum display of the "The Jesus Boat". There's a short video that explains how the boat was discovered, stabilized, taken from the water and preserved. The boat itself is amazing to see. You can also take a boat tour on the Sea of Galilee right here from the kibbutz dock.
