We come to the canaan Gallery every time we come to Tzfat: Handwoven kipahs, talitot, and very special wall-hangings -- there is always something new and creative. We even found very unusual Roman Glass earrings, which we bought:We highly recommend! Cynthia and Ilan Rubin, Jerusalem

I visit this gallery every time I'm in Safed. The scarf I bought there in the early 90s still looks brand new. I have carefully hand-washed it over the years and air-dried it flat. It literally looks as good as new. It's a very similar pattern to the current Levi Jeans Black Scarf. So I can vouch for the durability as well as the beauty of their products.

Our experience before we discovered Canaan Gallery was probably similar to many tourists: we know what we want and see many items that are close to our imagined goal. Close, but not exactly what we are looking for. Yes, it can get frustrating! Then we discovered the Canaan Gallery. The tallit for our granddaughter became very real and in our hands. As much as we enjoyed the experience shopping there, we also enjoyed talking to the Moores who added so much to our knowledge and the knowledge of our children and grandchildren. The staff is patient, especially as they tried so hard to interpret our description into available inventory. We thought it was a miracle before we left the gallery; it was a miracle when our granddaughter wore it at her bat mitzvah 3 months ago. (BTW: our visit was in July 2017.) THANK YOU!

I took my family to the gallery to buy a shawl for my son and I was very much surprised. We went up to the workshop and one of the experts walked us through the process of weaving and then took us to select colors and had each of the 30 people in our group give weaving a try. Under his expert and very friendly supervision, we wove about one fourth of the way when we were taken to a room where we were introduced to the meaning of the Tzitzit and had each of the members tie a knot as they gave their wishes to my son. Overall, one of the best activities I have participated in israel.

We enjoyed seeing the looms and learning about the weaving process before shopping for a tallit. The staff was extremely patient, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Buying a hand woven personalized talliet was a very special experience for us. My husband was thrilled to pick out exactly what he wanted and is excited to wear it for years to come.
