Huge and beautiful church. The architecture inside is very interesting as there are multiple levels, and there's an atrium like opening in the middle of the church so you can look down from the upper level to see some of the ancient ruins beneath the church. We happened to be here on March 25, which is Annuciation Day, and the place was completely packed, very intense one-way traffic restrictions everywhere. The school attached to the church was open for parking on this occasions, not sure what it's like on a normal day.…

This church is very special. The pictures depicting Jesus from so many countries the sculptures, stained glass windows and stories are fascinating not only for Christians but for all people. This basilica is truly a unique architectural monument both inside and out. The atmosphere inside is drawn from a mix of lights and based on three levels each one brings about a unique perspective, rich history and a story behind it. You will feel its sanctity the moment you step in especially when you reach the area where it is believed the Annunciation took place. A must visit in Nazareth. …

The Church of the Annunciation, or The Basilica of The Sanctuary of the Annunciation in Nazareth is in the same building complex as the Church of St. Joseph but is located on the south end of the overall structure. Of a more modern appearance than the Church of St. Joseph, The Sanctuary of the Annunciation celebrates the Angel's visitation and message to Mary before the birth of Jesus. The Sanctuary is decorated with modern representations of the Angel and the Virgin Mary in the Annunciation message.
