Nazareth, Tiberias, and the Sea of Galilee Day Trip from Tel Aviv

364 reviews
Visit Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee on a full-day trip from Tel Aviv to some of Israel’s most important Christian sites. You’ll follow the path of Jesus and the apostles as you visit places where Jesus is believed to have been born, taught, performed miracles, and been baptized. Since the tour is tailored to New Testament sites, it’s a great way to experience Israel’s Christian heritage with limited time.

Too many shops of useless, low quality stuff and bad smell. Couldn't find anything authentic or interesting. The street itself worth walking through but I wouldn't stop there for shopping.

12 noon and place totally deserted. Even the stall sellers were missing. Lots of btickabrack and domestic ware. 15 minutes walk and that's it. However if you like coffee ☕ there is fantastic roastery half way through, finest ground Turkish style coffee with cardamom. Price 10 🔟 shekels for 250 grams.

Typical market selling all sorts of things you don’t want or need. Very basic. Worth waking through. You may need something after all.

The market itself is not that interesting or impressive. No way near the market of the old city in Jerusalem. With the exception of a few shops (Ghada's corner and El Babor to name two) the shops are relatively dull. However - walking thru the narrow paths and streets takes you to the heartbeat of this city. Stop for a coffee. Look at the old houses that turned into hotels (look inside!) and visit one of the many convents . This Nazareth!

If there is a place in Israel where you can go back in time, in addition to Old City of Jerusalem, it is the Old City of Accre (Akko). The market place is vibrant. It ha anything that you want and that you do not want. Many of the buildings have been renovated and brought up to code, but have maintained their old architecture and charm. Do not be in a hurry. Take your time.
