Upon arrival at the old Jaffa Port, look north to the city of Tel Aviv and watch the towers that grow all over the city. Along the promenade you can also enjoy the light breeze and if you do this afternoon the sunset to the sea when everything is painted orange is a spectacular sight.…

It is a very nice place for jogging or just walk. There are some shops also, but mainly the fresh sea breeze makes it very inviting.

The Port of Jaffa was a great idea that never took off. It has a some restaurants and a few shops but for some reason the development of the area stopped short of being great like the Nalam in Tel Aviv. It's still the location of the Old Jaffa Port with active fishing boats and that fishing boat smell. The eateries are typical overpriced touristy fish places. The one exception is Fish and Chips. A literal hole in the wall where you can get simply fried fish, shrimp, calamari and chips. That's about all and that's all you need. Fresh and yummy. Parking is free and it is a great place for a stroll on a beautiful day.…

Attractively renovated - there is not - or certainly was not when we were there- a lot happening on the Tayelet itself. However once there continue along to the Port and then return up to the main buzz via the alleys and steps which are full of character and a delight to explore.
