The Bahai World Centre is located in the twin cities of Haifa and Acre. The gardens in both places are gorgeous but the faith’s holiest shrine is the resting place of the founder located in Acre (and it’s easier to park there). The terraces and...More

These are really beautiful laid out gardens BUT not wheelchair friendly. Good parking. Accessible from main route north or through Acre

I traveled to Bahji in Acre, Israel, on a Pilgrimage. It was a very moving and unforgettable experience to visit the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful.

Actually the gardens are closed to visit them entirely. They are isolated with gates and the maximum you can go is on the top of the gardens to take pictures. So... it's a nice picture spot and from there you can have a good view...More

Beautiful for taking photos, you cant eat inside but take water as you feel thirsty. It may take a good hour walk inside the gardens. Wear comfortable shoes and take a hat, there isnt much shade. I think kids cant go into the shrine as...More

This place will look like Photoshop photo. Very beautiful, well organized and super clean. When i went they were doing maintinance so i couldn't reach the top. But from the place I've reached you will see a very nice view for the city.

Do not miss going to the Baha'i gardens. We had a most enjoyable time there. The gardens were kept beautifully and our guide told us a very interesting story. I won't spoil it for you go and hear for yourself

We were able to view the gardens and the shrine during our visit. Some of the garden paths were closed which was unfortunate, imo. The striking symmetry was pleasing as were the color combinations. The shrine, where the founder is buried, was open...necessitated removing shoes...More

The outer gardens are open everyday but the shrine only on the weekend. The Gate appeared locked but the guard let us in after a quick bag search and metal detection. No charge. The gardens are lush and well manicured. A delightful place to wander...More

Beautiful garden, very well maintained, amazing flowering. Gardens are Persian style. The place includes the former house of the Baja Ullah, and the place were he is buried. Recommended if you are in Acre. Bear in mind that the full place can be visited only...More

Would a "good Samaritan" here in TripAdvisor tell me how to get to the Bahai Gardens and shrine after getting off at Hasmona (by the Haifa Cruise Port Terminal) train station after visiting Acre?

You just walk straight from there. It is near by, at the end of Ben Gurion Blvd.

The inside of the shrine is very simple (limestone walls, white surfaces). It is a mausoleum and pilgrimage site. The shrine is composed of nine rooms (three doors on each side; entered via metal doors from the first two... More
