The horses are just... Slaves ! They are whipped, never brought some water... Don't ride them! Don't go on them! For any reasons don't!!!! The islands are little so you can walk easily!!! The islands are pretty good but totally spoiled by this torture!

Now I don't mean to offend anyone, but I found this place, Gili Trawangan in specific, utterly disgusting. When me and boyfriend went to Bali a lot of people advised us not to waste time in Bali, but to go to Gili, so we thought...More

I don't get the hype. The beach is very dirty and polluted. The whole island smells really bad and was full of horse poop. Definitely not recommended.

We took a speedboat to Gili Trawangan from Lobok which took about 15 minutes. Since no motorized vehicles are allowed, we took a horse carriage (cidomo) to our amazing hotel, the Pink Coco. To say that the carriage drivers are aggressive, would be putting it...More

Average beaches. Some people just want your money. Coral reefs damaged. Worth to go there for a few days but don't expect the paradise.

If you are looking for wide beaches with blinding white sand, you won't find them here. But if you want to relax in the sun, go for a casual swim, see beautiful underwater landscapes while snorkelling, all surrounded by genuinely friendly people, the Gilis are...More
