We start from Senaru village and we hike almost 9 hours to crater rim including few stops and lunch at Pos 2. The weather on top was freezing about 8 degree celcius so remember to bring warm jacket. The view of Segara Anak Lake and Top of Summit was amazing. There were many shining beautiful stars and the whole experience... More

Journey to mount rinjani 4 days 3 nights to mount rinjani with ali trekking we are a group of five in true healthy condition and we choose to depart from sembalun for starters to rinjani mountain with guide ali trekking. Our guides named junadi were really strong and helped us during our trip with the porters of the five company... More

I joined with Abel tour services, it was a couch tour with 6 guests. The whole experience was incredible although it was freezing cold for me. The owner (Abel) definitely a thumbs up agency who can accommodate everything you need (for me i've always using their services every time i went to Lombok). The guide (Mario), the porters are all... We did the 4d3n which was too long as we camped right near the gate at Senaru on the last night. The 3d2n summit walk is probably a better option and starting at Sembalum is recommended. Break in some decent hiking boots first, bring a headlamp, rain jacket and some gaiters. Some spectacular views but a lot of rubbish in... More

There isn't much to say but at the same time there is a lot to say. We were 8 dudes in our thirties and all in good shape. Probably one of the hardest physical challenges we have all endured. The other reviews highlight to bring warm clothes and proper gear and blah blah. That's all true. I won't discount that.... More

You cant leave Lombok without visiting Mt. Rinjani. I did 3 days 2 nights Rinjani hiking. Trust me, this hike is damn difficult. But, all is worth it. It will be a sight you will never forget. Tips: 1. You really need a pair of very good hiking shoes. 2. Please keep yourself warm because temp will drop to 5... More

Definitely one of my favourite experiences in Indonesia. We did the 3 day hike, which is not to be considered easy, but 100% worth it. My only criticism is that considering Rinjani is a national park, there was a lot of litter and was not very looked after well due to many campers - bit of a shame to see... More

The view from the rim at 2600m is stunning albeit the heavy rain & strong wind that hit us continuously for 2 days from Apr 6 to 7. For safety reasons we opted out to continue ascending to the summit. Nonetheless we continued to enjoy the trekking adventure down to the lakeside mostly under the rain. It's therefore recommended that... More

Lucky enough to share with my son the trek up to the rim of Mt Rinjani. A tough ask for me (68 years old) but well worth the effort. We started a 7.30 am and trekked for almost 7 hours, but had breaks for snacks and lunch, and the terrain at times was very challenging. The view was just spectacular... More

we took the 3 days and 2 nights trip up top, down to lake and crater rim with Jou  trekking and everything was well organized, the camping gear was very good and food we get was delicious. the trek itself was very demanding, but all the same definitley worth it. Make sure you have the right equipment,  Mr. Jou can... More
