The Pagaruyuan palace is a glorious work of Minangkabau architecture, covered with the unique woodcarvings of the region. The guides give an enthusiastic and very informative tour of the inside. I highly recommend a stop here.

the unique building of Minang, found its best expressions in this palace. Revitalization (rebuilding) of the palace can happens, as tourists would flock in and learn about the culture. Unfortunately, more readings are needed in order to understand the buildings and the culture.
