A lovely little museum away from the main hustle and bustle of the tourist center of ubud. Interesting to learn about the development of art culture in the city.

If you're interested in Balinese art and want to beat the heat for a couple of hours in Ubud, there is the place to go. Couple that with a walk through Penestanan on your way back into town.

Located inside traditional Balinese house, this small museum hosts mainly paintings depicting local life and to quite big extend Balinese women half naked. Well worth a visit for all males interested in natural beauty.

We spent an absorbing time here this afternoon. There are some really beautiful works and the collection covers traditional Balinese and Indonesian art as well as contemporary works. The museum centre buildings are also lovely.

visit this museum to see it plenty of beautiful collection whenever you are visiting Ubud. It is full of very diverse and interesting artists. There is some merchandise to buy at the end, but certainly not a pushy person around to insist you buy anything

Very nice overview of Balinese painting over the lasts 8-9 decades. You can see the development in style, partly influenced by foreigners who lived and worked on Bali. Mainly paintings on display, and the occasional woodcarvings.

It's not expensive but I can't remember the exact amount - and it was definitely worth it!
The Arie Smit paintings. How many are there in the museum? Are there any images of them?

Hi Xavier i'm not really sure how many are there but as far as i'm concern Neka Art Museum has the largest Arie Smit paintings than the other museum such as ARMA, Museum Pasifica, etc.
