Amazing Waterfall
Oct 2019
Lovely waterfall, this was our last stop on the North Bali day tour. As you drive from Ulun Danu to Gitgit, you will drive through a beautiful stretch of road surrounded by greenery on all sides. You have walk up the steep flight of stairs for about 15 minutes before you reach the base of waterfalls. Serene sight with clean water, you can easily relax here for an hour.

Very quiet and scenic waterfall of Bali
Jul 2019
It is very scenic waterfall in Bali compared to other over crowded one. It is further few kms ahead of Ulun Dhanu Beraton temple (temple of the lake). It takes 10-15 mins to reach the waterfall but entire route is so green, fresh and lovely that no one mind.

Nice to see, but not worth the money

We visited the GitGit waterfalls when staying in Jathiluwi. We had driver for the day and it took us about 1.5h to get to GitGit. Once there,we had a "guide" that took us down to the waterfalls and took pictures of us from the different ones.
The sun came in and it was a lovely experience to see it!

However, the guy wanted 100.000 ruphia to the village and there were children all along the way that wanted to sell you things. It made us feel very uncomfortable and because he stressed us through the whole experience it wasn't as good as it could have been.
My advise, walk by yourself and take your time to enjoy the waterfalls.

So first I want to tell that Git Git waterfall is a chain of waterfalls and not one waterfall so you need to decide which one you need to visit. We visited the tallest of all and is the most visited one.

You need to walk down some amount steps (just like any other water fall) before reaching this beauty.

We were completely blown by the beauty, we have seen lot of waterfall but it had something different may be the surroundings

For me its worth a visit atleast once.

Complete Scam
Jan 2020 • Couples
The waterfall is not only tiny but also its not that beautiful. Its like mud water flowing from the top of the ceiling and the scams run with guides and drivers of your car where people get charged at least 10x of the entry fee. I strongly recommend not to visit the place.

Nice place to stop in if you're in north Bali. Our driver knew a short cut which was great because it was such a hot day! Lot's of Indonesians and Indian people were visiting at the time. It's nice to watch them try taking their family photo's whilst getting sprayed! A fun and nice place to cool down. There's toilets there which was handy and they were clean. There's plenty of shops on the walk down. I'm not sure if the prices are competitive as I didn't stop, but a good mixture of things.

Worth a visit
Jan 2020
We went to visit Gitgit waterfalls given that local guide mafias at Sekumpul are charing ridiculous amounts for a "compulsory" guide. We found a nice waterfall and were lucky to visit at a time when we were completely alone. It is nothing out of the ordinary but overall a nice visit if driving around the area.

A nice waterfall but not necessarily spectacular.

We are staying in Baturiti so only 1 hour to Git Git. Heaps of monkeys on the road near the twin lakes. Nice to see the waterfall. It is very pretty. Took a few photos and spent 10 minutes at the base with four other people. We had a private driver so arrived at 9.45am before the thousands of tourists. Recommend an early start if you want less crowds. We had read the other reviews and did not pay for a ‘guide’. He directed us to the path that leads to the waterfall. Thanks to those who gave the info. There’s another waterfall to see so ask the people at the Warung at the start of the path. Lots of little ‘shops’ on the way down and back. Bought a couple of nice sarongs for 35000IDR each but politely declined all other offers. Be prepared for lots of steps ok? You need to be relatively fit.

Lovely waterfalls but watch out for the scammers
Dec 2019
Our driver took us here, we wanted to see waterfalls on our way down to Legian after an excellent stay in Pemuteran.

As soon as we got out the car the 'guide' came up to us offering his services (for a fee) - the money would go to the local school. So by the time we got to the ticket booth area to pay we didn't question the exorbitant amount they charged us. It should have been 20,000 each, but I'm a bit embarrassed to say how much more we paid.

We made that guide work for every rupiah he got from us at the end. And we think our driver was in on it too!
