This two hour experience was a welcome break from the bustling streets of Rishikesh. A very well protected and preserved area. Our driver through the safari spoke very little English so it was up to us to discover any animals lurking in the bushes. We saw mule deer, water buffalo, spotted dear, wild hogs and some incredibly colorful birds. Our... More

After a three hours safari, all we managed were couple of birds, a wild boar and a few spotted dear. An wild elephant was the saving grace, that we had to re enter the forest after a tip from another driver. Paying almost 5000 Rs for a family's of four, this was largely disappointing. Avoid.

It's not especially likely you'll get Attenboroughesque photo opportunities with the more exciting of the native animals but it was still an enjoyable safari.

Located in between Haridwar and Rishikesh, this National Park is a protected patch of forest spread across Himalayan foot hills or the Shivaliks. Visiting this National Park helps visitor get an insight into the low altitude Himalayan ecosystem, flora and fauna. We took a safari and saw several elephants, Nilgai and few birds. We were not lucky enough to spot... More

We went to the Cheela Range in Haridwar in 3 PM-6 PM slot. We hired the Jeep which are available at the cost of Rs. 1500. Ticket Cost was Rs. 150 per person. We contacted Mr. Mohit (8477091231) for booking the jeep. Jeeps are not easily available on weekends. Mohit's driver was Kundan who had a great knowledge of the... More

Good place to stroll around from the city's hustle & bustle, but that's all , hardly any facilities available! Best place to visit for the wildlife lovers. Its the National Elephant Reserve. Best time to visit from September to June. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

We had a descent safari experience in the Tiger Reserve. Again, spotting animals in a jungle definitely depends on your luck. However, we got to know from the national park officials, that the Chilla range is much better to spot animals.

the safari in park can be done my open Jeep or by elephant (but this a shorter route). we took the Jeep and been in the park for about hours. It is just a thing of luck what animals you can see inside. We saw lots of birds, deer's, peacocks and even a tigre foot mark on the sand.
