Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the temple is one of the Shakti peeths or holy places where a body part of the goddess fell during tandav. The architecture of the temple emphasizes the square shape.

Monkey Temple, there are hardly any here now, is relatively small. At the same time it is popular making for a very busy experience. Liked how we could get close to the priests as well a number of gods who are celebrated.
