Did this as a part of a school study trip and loved the experience. It's definitely a must see and a cause worthy of support. The guides are very knowledgable about conservation and explain the history of the animals in the sanctuary and the challenges associated with running the organization. It helps you view elephants in and around India in... More

This place was very comfortable and the work they are doing with the animals is very important. We are a group of students in a gap year program - learning about culture and religion while doing service around India.

So enjoyed visit to elephant sanctuary. Gained huge insight into these loving gentle giants. All have been rescued from cruelty, such as ill treatment in circuses. Now they're having the sort of life they deserve. Volunteers who give their time free to love and care for these amazing creatures. You can see them bathed and fed. Hear them crack the... More

Wildlife SOS was one of the most worthwhile places we have ever visited. It was wonderful to hear the stories of the elephants and to see them on the road to being well. It was an eye opener to watch the video on the bears. Its frightening to think of the cruelty to animals, but its wonderful to see the... More

These guys are doing an amazing job under challenging circumstances. A definite must see and spread the word of the incredible work these guys are doing so that the elephants will not suffer and by bringing school children to see this sanctuary it will change the way we view these magnificent beasts.

While in Agra we took some time to visit the Elephant Sanctuary in Mathura. It was a wonderful experience and provided much needed education on the lives of working elephants. Definitely worth a visit and preferably before you visit the Amber Fort in Jaipur so you won't be tempted to ride the elephants there.
