If you visit Pykara while doing sightseeing of Ooty, the trip ends with Pykara lake. It is the perfect end to a beautiful trip full of pine trees, vast grasslands and lakes.

It's such a nice photo point. 20km from ooty. It's in ooty - mysore road. Name of the place is also called pykara.

To reach pykara falls one need to walk for a kilometer or there is a couple of battery operated vehicles running which will charge you 10 rupees per trip per ticket. And it is not a true falls but rather water flowing through slope area....More

Awesome views of hills around the lake . Lake itself is very beautiful . Speed boat ride is worth a try.

The waterfalls are not very high, but nature is there in all its glory. huge mountains and trees all around. After a long trek, one reaches these waterfalls. We manged to capture a video of the waterfalls.

At Pykara Lake you can spend time as long as you want. For boating you have to buy tickets which usually takes 5-10 mins. Then you have to stand in a queue which depends on the rush. Usually it is about another 20 mins... More
