Mukurti is one of the best place in ooty to visit for photography. Also you can spend time on long walk.

I believe not everyone can access this place as it requires special permission and but if your hotel does take you like ours did it's worth a visit .serene and beautiful and peaceful very picturesque and don't forget to get your camera . The lake in there was so beautiful we even managed to play in the water . Washrooms... More

Mukurthi National Park is managed by the Tamil Nadu Department of Forestry with the main objective to conserve the endangered shola-grassland ecosystem and its endemic flora and fauna. It's a very serene place which offers a great view. However a prior permission of the forest department is required to access this place.

mukurthi park is the national biosphere place protected as reserve forest......the park is kept very clean Trekking requires permissions from the forest department. Nice place and worth a visit.

Let me start by telling you that the Mukruthi peak and the surrounding area is a restricted zone and not easily accessible. You will need prior permission from the forest department and will also be accompanied by someone from the department in case you get permission.. Folks who are physically fit can enjoy maximum as the trek down the slopes... More

Beautiful place. One can ride all the way to Upper Bhavani reservoir and have a view of the peak. Trekking requires permissions from the forest department. Nice place and worth a visit.

Much of Mukurthi’s flora and fauna like the rest of the Nilgiris has remarkable similarity with the Himalayas. Rhododendron, a high altitude tree species that decorates the grasslands of Mukurthi in abundance, is not found anywhere else between Himalayas and Nilgiri plateau...
