This is a big fort but not the most impressive as it has not been maintained and you have to walk up a lot of steps.

Second largest fort in Rajasthan overlooking the tiger reserve...1000 years of history...the structure is in surprisingly good condition. Worth the visit.

This fort is next to the national park. It is a good trek up the hill as it is located at the top. From the parking where the vehicle drops you have to climb steep stairs of this ancient fort. Sawai madhopur famous for some historical fort. One of them is khandar fort which is very beautiful. It is away 50 km from sawai madhopur. For visit this place, you must have good stamina because there are very long walking way. For taking some rest, there are also good facilities like food, water, park etc.

If you are visiting this place, you need a good stamina and enough water supply. After a tiring morning safari, i was not so fit to take up the long walk on the fort. Somehow managed with all gears mounted on my back. Lovely location and you get fair chance to spot a tiger too. Stay with crowd or a... More

A long climb but worth while when you see the view from the top. The upkeep of the fort is not as it should be and one should be careful as leopards roam around freely in this area.
