This place is slightly away from the city center but well connected with local buses, autos and ola/uber. I will say this location is divided in 3 parts. 1. The Cenotaphs 2. The museum 3. The Fort. 1. The Cenotaphs - There are 2 main cenotaphs which everyone obviously visits, but I personally liked the Maharaja Dhiraj`s cenptaph which is... More

The place is about 7-8 Km and used to be the capital of erstwhile Jodhpur royal family before they shifted to Jodhpur as its capital. The place has some good gardens and famous hall of fame a gallery with 15 large statues carved in a large lobby. Beside that there is one beautiful museum also in this place. The construction is... Its a nice garden situated away from the main city area. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with a sight of hundreds of monkeys in the garden (which are completely harmless unless you bait them). There is a nice temple structure within the garden which gives it a nice view. But we were pleasantly surprised to see that... More

This is a beautiful garden. It has trees, rocks, ponds, flowering plants and several birds and monkeys. This place has a significance in Ramayana. Ravana's wife Mandodari was born here and Ravana is the son-in-law of this place. There are several temples and cenotaphs of Jodhpur rulers here.

We read mixed reviews about Mandore but we were so pleased to have visited. It was a little oasis away from the busy streets and the temples are incredible. Some parts do look a little run down/have litter but this did not distract us from our visit. Would recommend.

Mandore has several 'chhatris' or memorials. All are exquisitely built! Each chhatri is unique! All these are surrounded by wonderfully landscaped garden. However one can not really enjoy this place as it is in a state of absolute neglect!
