This was an eerie place to visit, especially knowing the history. There are efforts to restore some of the buildings which gives you a better idea of how the people lived here. Worth a visit.

Ghost towns and villages hold a charm altogether different from that of other historical places such as palaces and forts, mostly because they give us a chance to peep right into the lives of the people who once inhabited them. Being a desert region, Rajasthan...More

Excellent place to view the lifestyle and habitats of pali brahmins. The river bank is highly fossiliferous bearing cephalopod shells of the Jurassic age. The area receives many foreign visitors, it's an abandoned village, nothing mysterious or haunted as far as my experience. Relive the...More

This was a pleasant experience, although the town was abandoned for sad reasons. A good opportunity to see traditional desert homes and walk thru a quiet place away from crowds.

The village is between Sam dunes and Jaisalmer city. I would recommend you to visit this village while on your way back from Sam. I would recommend you to carry food or travel back to Jaisalmer for any kind of refreshments
