There are only three or four of the major Havelis that you must visit in Jaisalmer. This is one of them. You don't have to go in but you do need to go and see it. The architecture and lattice work carving into the stone is beautiful. You can walk to this and two more havelis from the fort on... More

Its just a haveli with same intricate carvings that you see across Rajasthan. Nothing different. The guide who took you through Jaisalmer Fort will give you the story behind Salim Singh and the haveli and that should be it. No need to waste lots of energies in debating over this. Actually, the correct name is Salam Singh Ki Haveli. It is also called Moti Mahal. It is at a walking distance from the main gate of Jaisalmer Fort. It remains open from 8 am to 6 pm.

I request all the travelers for jaisalmer to not to visit the place. It's waste of time if you visit the place. It's just waste of time to visit the place. Better you visit Patwon ki Haveli which is way better than this place

Nothing much to see as the place is not open to the public. You could probably have a glimpse while driving down the alleys.

As I haven't visited any other haveli's in the area I found the tour provided by Rajit to be interesting and informative, and I throughly enjoyed it. He pointed out a lot of the intricate details in the stone work and even showed some of the oil lamps and burners that would have been used at the time. The haveli... More

A very interesting tour guided by an interesting and knowledgeable gentleman. Very cheap morning sightseeing and good insight to local life.
