Tilon ki Pol is an entry gate to Gadsigar lake, built in traditional Rajasthani style. You can see the beautiful jharokhas built on this gate with very fine traditional handwork.

It is actually the entrance to the gadisar lake. It has some beautiful carvings on it and it is multi storeyed. One can shop around for desert items around the place.

Tilon ki Pol is an old gate at the entrance of Gadisar Lake in Jaisalmer. You will need a guide to understand the legend behind of this gateway. Nice place to relax and unwind sitting in the front of the lake under the trees.

An old gate house apparently endowed by a rich courtesan It is a shame that it is not cared for better as it is a fine bit of architecture The random floodlights hung of it don’t help it’s appearance

This place is inevitable if you wish to go to Gadisar lake. YOu pass through here for going to the lake. Private vehicles are not allowed beyond this point. there are local musicians playing their music alongwith small sellers selling local artefacts around here.
