This spectacular fortress was built more than a 1000 years ago on a rocky outcrop and sits in the middle of Ranthambore sanctuary. Ride in an open 4 wheel vehicle then hike to the fort, a huge structure with fascinating history and fine craftmanship.

Access to the fort is via many steps and a long climb but, taken gently, it's achievable for most people. The fort offers amazing views over the national park and there are lots of buildings and monuments to see at the top.

Most of the hotels have tie-up with Canters or Gypsies which will take you to Ranthambore Fort. Canters are less expensive compared to Gypsies.
